WHO RUNS THE SHELTER?

The Shelter is run by an unpaid committee consisting of:

  • Dorothy Reyneke - Founder and Executive Member

  • Antoinette Bruwer - Chairperson 

  • Andrew De Vries - Vice Chairperson 

  • Danie Nel -Treasurer 

  • Tokkie Malan - Food Coordinator 

  • Corné Oelofse - Maintenance 

 

The committee is responsible for general oversight, financial decisions, fundraising and food provision. Two of the founding members are still actively involved as committee members.

DAY-TO-DAY RUNNING OF THE SHELTER:

  • Denise Paulse – Manager and social worker

  • Melrisha Hendrikse  - Social Auxiliary Worker 

  • Haylene Adams  - Community Worker

  • Marianne Rhoda - Kitchen Coordinator   

  • Supervisors - We have four working on a rotation basis
